Serbian Day picnic to feature ethnic foods
YOUNGSTOWN
The 78th annual Serbian Day picnic will begin at noon July 25 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave. Available will be a variety of traditional foods such as barbecued lamb and pork, chicken paprikash, cevaps (grilled sausage), kolbasi, Serbian rice, and homemade doughnuts.
There will be games for children from 2 to 5 p.m. and music will be played by Djuro Klipa from 4 to 9 in the pavilion. Admission is $3. For more information call 330-550-6628.
A birthday wish for Ruth Fenton

Ruth Hahlen Fenton, who operated a shop known as Fenton American in Canfield for more than 30 years, is looking forward to hearing from former customers and friends as she celebrates her 95th birthday on July 28.

Help Hotline names Gardner to its board
YOUNGSTOWN
Robert B. Gardner, CPA and financial adviser with the Bennett/Gardner Group at Stifel Nicolaus Butler Wick Division in Canfield, has been named to the board of directors at Help Hotline Crisis Center, Inc.
Gardner is a 1987 graduate of the University of Houston and alumnus of Boardman High School. He became a certified public accountant in March 1991 and received a master’s in business administration from Youngstown State University in May 2002. Gardner is a member of the Youngstown Kiwanis Club and volunteers for Easter Seals of Mahoning County and the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley.
