Dave Sugar Excavating 3, Ohio Yankees 2

STRUTHERS

With three hits, Nick Benson was the hitting star as Dave Sugar Excavating remained alive in the elimination bracket. Mike Watson came on relief to pick up the win for Sugar, The game ended on Benson’s walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh as he drove home J.A Revesz. G.J. Senchak had two hits while Mike Natale added a double and an RBI.

1080 Media 7, Diamond Boys 1

1080 Media’s five-run second inning triggered the win and kept the team unbeaten. Matt Harmon picked up the win in relief. Jim Coates had three hits, an RBI and two runs scored. Anthony Raschilla’s two hits included a triple. Ron Bovo had two hits and an RBI.

Dave Sugar Excavating 11, J&A Baseball 5

Dave Sugar Excavating eliminated J&A with Randy Risch earning the mound victory. J.W. Gora earned the save. Senchak’s three hits included a double. Jeff Revesz tripled and scored twice. Jordan Izzo tripled and had two RBIs. Mike Natale had a hit, an RBI and scored a run while Jason Revesz added a hit and scored twice. Derek Morgan had two hits and an RBI for J&A.

Roth Brothers 6, OTN Performance 1

Roth Brothers wrapped up first place in Pool B. Nick Cubarney pitched a complete game for the victory, tossing a four-hitter. Anthony Abeid had three hits and two runs scored. Tom Quealy had a hit, an RBI and a run scored while Derek Pasquale added a hit and an RBI. Cubarney doubled. For OTN, Austin Cooper doubled.

Lake County Diamond Dawgs 8, Astro Falcons 5

In eight innings, the Astro Falcons suffered their first loss of the tournament. Astro finished Pool A runners-up behind Andy’s 9ers. John Marrillota picked up the win in relief for the Dawgs while Steve Scaccia picked up the save. Anthony Rohan’s two hits included a double. Nico DiAnni, Vince Pitzulo and Nick Altimere each had a hit and an RBI. Mike Briach and Jake Froats added a hit and two runs scored. Dominic Federico led the Dawgs with three hits, including a triple.
