Mass, luncheon honor Jasons on anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Jason of Youngstown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary during a Mass on July 11 at St. Christine Church, and a luncheon at Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield.

Hosts for the festivity were their children and their spouses and their grandchildren, Denise, Joe, Caitlin and Gary Kenney of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; Dan, Jayne, Dawn, Dylan, Janelle, Deanna and Joy Jason of Port Allen, La.; Ken, Laurie and Matt Jason of Star Valley Ranch, Wyo.; Karen, Gav, Cody and Jamey Gavalier of Denver.

The former Genevieve Hamrock and Mr. Jason were united in marriage July 15, 1950, in St. Matthias Church. They are members of St. Christine Church.

Mr. Jason retired from the Erie Railroad in 1985 after 38 years of service.
