Bruderlys’ 50th is celebrated at reception

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruderly of Salem marked their 50th wedding anniversary the evening of July 17 at a dinner reception hosted by their son at the Blue Wolf Banquet Center in Boardman.

Jeff and Darlene Bruderly of Boardman issued invitations for the event, which took place from 7-10 p.m.

Mr. Bruderly and the former Joyce Linn were married July 17, 1960, at Robbins United Methodist Church in Washingtonville.

The couple are members of Greenford Christian Church.

Mrs. Bruderly retired in 1969 to be a full-time mother and homemaker. She had worked as a nurse at Central Clinic Hospital in Salem and as a teller at First National Bank in Salem and People’s Federal Savings and Loan in Leetonia. Her club memberships are Les Dames de 700 Bowling Club, life member; Ohio Women’s 700 Bowling Club, charter life member; WIBC, now USBC (United States Bowling Congress), permanent member; SWBA Bowling Hall of Fame, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5532, and Seven and One Club.

Mr. Bruderly is a driver for United Parcel Service in Boardman. He belongs to VFW Post 5532, American Legion Post 131, USBC, and SMBA Bowling Hall of Fame.

He has been a member of the Professional Bowlers Association since 1975, bowling on the national, regional and senior tours.

He is the teaching house pro at Camelot Lanes in Boardman. He coaches the after-school program, Junior League, and children and adults privately.

Mr. Bruderly also serves as a director on the board of Youngstown USBC Youth Bowling Association.

A family trip to Riviera Maya in Mexico will complete the anniversary celebration.
