“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday, WFMJ Channel 21; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): National Night Out is an annual community event that encourages everyone to come out and celebrate prevention of crime and violence and get to know your neighbors. Annie Hall and Lyndsey Hughes of the city of Youngstown will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event and how various block watches can participate.

Next, Terri Bryant of Northside Weed and Seed and Beth Bonish of Meridian Services Inc., will discuss the 2010 Camp All Stars registration at the Tabernacle Baptist Church for children 6 to 10 years old.

Bridge work forces Nautica detour

CLEVELAND

The Center Street Swing Bridge leading to Nautica Pavilion on the West Bank of the Flats will close for repairs Monday and remain closed through the rest of the concert season.

A suggested detour is West 25th Street to Washington Boulevard or Columbus Road to Franklin Street.
