FIRE-RISK ratings
The Insurance Services Office is an independent organization that serves insurance companies by providing information about risk associated with communities’ fire departments. It rates departments on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst. Campbell’s rating became a 10 June 1. Other ratings for communities nearby:
• Poland Township and village, served by the Western Reserve Joint Fire District: The village has a 3, and parts of the township have a 3 and parts of it have a 4, said Chip Comstock, fire chief. The parts that have a 4 are farther away from the fire stations, he said.
• Struthers, 4.
• Lowellville, 6.
• Boardman, 5.
• Youngstown, 3.
