Canfield choir students perform at Disney

Neighbors | Submitted.Canfield High School singers were featured performers on the Waterside Stage in Downtown Disney June 18..The Canfield High School choirs traveled to Orlando to visit Walt Disney World and participate in performing and educational workshops.

Neighbors | Submitted.Canfield students posed in Downtown Disney at Disney World during their five-day trip to the park. .The 40 students, all from the high school choirs, participated in a Disney Educational Workshop led by a Disney performer.

Canfield students from all three high school choirs packed their bags and departed June 15 for a five-day trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando.

The students, all 40 of them, traveled by charter bus for approximately 22 hours and arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios bright and early Wednesday morning.

They spent four days touring, as well as taking part in some “magical” educational and performance opportunities. The group participated in a Disney Educational Workshop June 17, led by a Disney performer. They learned a song and dance, received tips about professional performance and created a DVD to bring back to Canfield.

The singers were featured as performers on the Waterside Stage at Downtown Disney June 18 where they gave a 30-minute concert to Disney guests.

The remainder of the trip included visiting the other Disney theme parks like Epcot, Animal Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom and a quick cool-down from the 90-plus degree weather at Blizzard Beach.

The students returned home June 20.
