Peter Rabbit hops by Poland library

There aren’t many talking rabbits around, but one of them took a trip to the local library.
The Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theater performed “Miss Beatrix Potter Presents Peter Rabbit” July 8 at the Poland library.
The cast of seven alternated characters between human and rabbit characters throughout the play. The audience helped Peter Rabbit on several occasions escape from the grasp of Mr. McGregor. Rabbit asked them to stand tall like plants so he could hide among them and to give themselves bunny ears so McGregor couldn’t find him.
The presentation was worth an hour for the library’s summer book program reading log.
The summer reading program rewards children for reading through logging their hours spent reading.
The rewards include coupons for ice cream and prize baskets.
