Boardman Rotary is under new leadership

Neighbors | Submitted.Boardman Rotary President Shelly LeBerto (left), welcomed Boardman High School Interact President Brianna Harris, Interact vice-president Leah Callaway and vice-president Lisa Navarro as special guests for the July 6 meeting..Other special guests included a group of doctors from Russia who were visiting the area.

The Boardman Rotary Club welcomed its new Executive Leadership Team for the upcoming year at the July 6 meeting.

Leading the meeting were new club President Shelly LaBerto, vice president Ginny Amstutz, secretary Jim Grantz and treasurer Jay Summer.

The club highlighted several guests at their weekly meeting, including the new leadership of Boardman High School’s Interact Club, this year’s outgoing exchange students, all from South Range High School, as well as a group of doctors from Russia who are visiting the area.

A special check presentation for $500 was made to Taylor Marconi that will enable him to complete the building of bird houses for the residents of Hospice House. The project is part of his preparations for Eagle Scout honors.
