Reenactment scheduled in Canfield

Historical times recreated: The 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and Argus Lodge will host the sixth biannual Civil War Reenactment July 24 and 25 at Argus Park, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield. Gates will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, and visitors will have an opportunity to visit camps and talk with the soldiers. Battles are scheduled for 2 p.m. both days. Speakers will portray Gen. Robert E. Lee, Gen. Ulysses S. Grant and President Abraham Lincoln. There will be historical presentations, dress parades, and Gatling gun and live mortar fire demonstrations. Admission is $5 for adults. Children 10 and under are admitted free. Shown wearing authentic Civil War-era clothing are a few of those who will participate in the reenactment.
