Henderson gets life in prison

WARREN —Eugne Henderson, the Warren man who fired 27 gun shots into a house on Wick St. Southeast on April 13, 2009, killing 11-year-old Lloyd McCoy Jr. and 26-year-old Marvin Chaney, was sentenced to life in prison without parole this morning.

Judge John M. Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, gave Henderson, 26, the maximum sentence possible.

A co-defendant, Eugene Cumberbatch, 27, also of Warren, received a life prison sentence with parole eligibility after 38 years last spring. A third defendant, Marcus Yager, 23, of Warren, testified against Henderson and Cumberbatch and was released from jail earlier this summer, after serving a little more than a year in jail.
