Weathersfield aiming for township-wide trash hauler

Weathersfield Township trustees Tuesday agreed to advertise for bids for a Residential Refuse and Garbage Collection with curbside recycling for throughout the township.

Trustees have want to make a decision on hiring a new trash hauler or drop the proposal if no bids are received by Sept. 1, chairman Steve Gerberry said.

Gerberry said that certain areas of the township have three trash haulers in the same area, with three different garbage nights. That means garbage is out three days a week and trucks are collecting three days a week.
