Fundraisers set for dogs rescue

More than 30 vendors will participate in a “Junk in Your Trunk” sale from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd Self Storage on South Avenue. Proceeds from the event will benefit the For the Dogs Rescue, a nonprofit organization that saves pound dogs.

A super 50-50 raffle is also scheduled this weekend as a fundraiser for the organization. Only 400 tickets will be sold for $50 each, and the drawing for the $10,000 prize will be Sept. 4.

Tickets will be available at the Shepherd Self Storage, Youngstown Sports Grille and Boardman Printing during business hours. They can also be purchased Friday at the Hollywood Knights Chuck Hoyle Benefit cruise; Saturday at the Valley Cruzers Car Cruise; and Sunday at the “Junk in Your Trunk Sale.”
