Rondinelli wins in 8th for lead

Nathan Junk scored in Monday’s eighth inning as Rondinelli Tuxedo defeated Wharmby Sports, 3-2, to seize control of their Class B Championship Series.
Kyle Valcav led the attack with two hits, a RBI and a run scored as Rondinelli took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series at Cene Park.
Jake Double also had two hits and a RBI while Chris Leiby doubled and scored.
Nick Manupelli went the distance for the victory, allowing two unearned runs on five hits. He struck out six batters and walked two.
David Saluga suffered the loss in relief while Jim Dobran led Wharmby with two hits. Saluga had a hit and scored a run while Tyler Gentile had a RBI.

The Astro Falcons scored nine runs in the second inning of Game Three to stay alive in their best-of-five series.
Doubles by Ryan Strollo, Tom Dallulo and Jake Froats helped the Falcons defeat Rondinelli Tuxedo, 19-5, at Cene Park. The victory slices Rondinelli’s series lead to 2-1.
Tyler Serich pitched all five innings in the shortened game.
Froats led the Astro offense with three hits, four RBIs and three runs scored.
Dallulo also drove in four runs and scored three times while Serich helped his own cause with a hit, two RBIs and three runs.
Strollo had two RBIs and scored a run. Nico DiAnni scored four times while Vince Pitzulo and Jared Weisen each had two RBIs.
For Rondinelli, Sean Coyne and Corey Hickman each had two hits and two RBIs. Justin McGinnis contributed two hits and two runs scored while Kyle Hickman took the pitching loss.
