New city council member sought in Salem
SALEM
David Johnson, the chairman of the Columbiana County Republican Party, said today that candidates are being screened to replace Joe Radin, the former Salem City Council at-large member who has resigned from council and left the city to help his ailing parents.
Johnson said that the party is screening candidates and that there are several good candidates.
Radin was elected last year to a four-year term.
Johnson said that the party has 45 days from July 1 to name the replacement.
