Park Vista to host discovery programs
YOUNGSTOWN
Park Vista Retirement Community, 1216 Fifth Ave., will host the Elderhostel series of Exploritas Day of Discovery programs for adults of all ages at the Park Vista Gathering Room.
The educational programs follow:
All the President’s Men from 9:15 to 12:45 July 22. Understand the intricate system of communication and policy creation that forms the core of the president’s administration. Examine and explore the evolution and tenures of chiefs of staff to the present day. (Program 19570PLW).
The White House and the Marble Palace from 9:15 to 12:45 Aug. 24. Examine the strategic relationship between the presidency and the Supreme Court. Follow a curriculum created by Patrick Wohlfarth, scholar of constitutional law at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. (Program 19577PLW)
’S Wonderful: The Music and Lyrics of the Gershwin Brothers from 9:15 to 12:45 Sept. 25. The sounds and life stories of the brothers will be presented by a music historian. Learn why their compositions remain favorites in musical repertoire today. (Program 19576PLW).
