“Murder on the Orient Express” (9 p.m., PBS): Agatha Christie’s most famous spell-binder, “Murder on the Orient Express,” gets the remake treatment in a new “Masterpiece Mystery!” presentation. David Suchet shines as Hercule Poirot, who probes the death of an American businessman aboard a London-bound train.
“The Glades” (10 p.m., A&E): “The Glades” is a new drama series that has Matt Passmore playing a former Chicago homicide detective who relocates to a beautiful and sleepy Florida town. Of course, he soon learns that it’s not as idyllic as it seems.
“Kid in a Candy Store” (10:30 P.M., FOOD NETWORK): Have a sweet tooth? You’ll definitely want to check out “Kid in a Candy Store.” It’s a new series that sends host Adam Gertler across the country in search of outrageous goodies. We’re drooling already.

Date, venue change for ‘Idol’ concert
PITTSBURGH
The American Idol Live! concert scheduled for Sept. 14 at Consol Energy Center has been rescheduled to July 21 at First Niagara Pavilion.
Fans who purchased tickets to the Sept. 14 show will automatically be issued comparable seats to the newly announced show. For those who are unable to make it, a refund will be issued at point of purchase for everything except order processing and delivery fees. Go to Ticketmaster.com for more information.
Concert at chapel
SHARPSVILLE, PA.
Vincenzia Sopko, a mezzo-soprano, will give a recital at the Sharpsville Historical Society’s Chloe Pierce Memorial Chapel, 110 N. Mercer Ave., at 3 p.m. Aug. 15. She will be accompanied by Anthony Ruggiero. Sopko, a 2006 Sharpsville High School graduate, will sing operatic compositions, including Handel, Mozart, Brahms and Verdi. Tickets are $10 and are available at Muscarella’s Restaurant and Sharpsville Florist.
Sopko is a recent music graduate of Bucknell University. She has toured Europe with the Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus.
