Smith-Fricker wedding plans are announced

Denise Smith of Hubbard is announcing the engagement of her daughter, Samantha Rose Smith, and Joel Edward Fricker, both of Girard.

Parents of the future groom are Harry Fricker and Joyce Fricker, both of Girard.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows in a 4:30 p.m. ceremony they have planned for Aug. 21. Invitations will be issued for the wedding and for their reception to follow, both at Aulizio’s Banquet Center in Warren.

Miss Smith, also a daughter of the late Willard Smith, earned an associate degree in early childhood education from Youngstown State University. She is a preschool teacher in Canfield.

Mr. Fricker, a warehouse worker with Trumbull Industries in Warren, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education.
