Austintown Chapter 4339, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church for a picnic. Reservations can be made by calling Doris Baker at 330-792-5650 or Pat Miller at 330-799-2635. Members are reminded to take a casserole or dessert and their own place settings. Anyone who wishes can also take a small wrapped gift for a bingo prize. The next board meeting will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 16 and the next regular meeting will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at the church.

Canfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will meet for a luncheon at 1 p.m. Monday at A La Cart Catering. Members are asked to carpool. Entertainment will be Vocals by Neil. Reservations will be taken for the Aug. 25-26 trip to Lancaster to see “Joseph” and to visit Gettysburg; for the Oct. 9 trip to Fallingwater and the Seven Springs Autumn Fest; and for the Nov. 30-Dec 2 trip to Rockefeller Center and a Broadway show. Croatian Pensioners of the Mahoning Valley will meet at noon Thursday at the Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Complimentary hearing screening and complimentary ear wax exams will be provided free at 11 a.m. by Centers for Hearing Care. Dr. Holly Reinke will be the speaker. A board meeting of all officers and trustees will take place at 10:30 a.m. The pensioners always welcome new seniors to join. Call 330-799-0270 for information.

Golden Pillars will meet for lunch at noon Tuesday at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Eleanor Hnat will preside.

Happy Wanderers will have a carry-in dinner at noon Friday. Those whose last names beginning with A-J are asked to take covered dishes, including some with meats because no meat will be purchased this year. Last names beginning with K-P are asked to take salads. Q-Z names are asked to take dessert. Table service will be available and there’s no need for reservations. J.C. Penney Retirees will have a picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Ex-servicemen’s Pavilion in Boardman Township Park. Each member is reminded to take a place setting and beverage and a casserole or dessert to share.

Liberty 55-Plus will tour the Arms Museum in Youngstown on Thursday in lieu of a monthly meeting. The cost is $3 per person. Members will meet at the museum, 648 Wick Ave., at 11 a.m. Arrangements have been made by Vi Caftor. After the tour, the group will have lunch at the MVR Club, 410 N. Walnut St., Youngstown. Kay Herberger will preside at a brief meeting. Guests are welcome.

Local 2243 Retirees, U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel, S.O.A.R. 1-28-10 will have their regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Local 1375 Union Hall, 684 N. Park Ave., Warren. The guest speaker will be David DeChristofaro, Trumbull County engineer.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Don Patchen will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. St. Anthony Senior Club will have its annual picnic Tuesday at Tod Park in Girard. Coffee and doughnuts will be available starting at 10 a.m. The meal will be served at noon.

St. Brendan’s 60-Plus Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Maxwell Hall. Dorothy LoSasso will preside, and Ann Banyots and Dorothy Proceck will give reports. UFCW Local 880 Retirees Club will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lucianno’s Restaurant in the Wedgewood Plaza. There will be a 50-50 raffle and bingo. Plans will be finalized for an annual picnic to be catered by Catullo’s Prime Meats on Aug. 10 at Boardman Township Park. Reservations for the picnic are being accepted at 330-788-2181.
