Holes in one

John Werner of Boardman had a hole in one on the 14th hole at Candywood. He used a 6-iron on the 186-yard par three. The shot was witnessed by Brian Slavens, Kevin Slavens, and Jim Werner.

Chuck Scaglione of Boardman aced the 155 yard No. 3 hole on Mill Creek’s north course using a 7-iron. Witnesses were Steve Mowry and Kevin Rickert.

Mike McCauley of Akron scored a hole-in-one at Pine Lakes’ No. 12, a 150-yard hole. He used a 4-hybrid. The shot was witnessed by Norm McCauley.

Paul Gresh of Lisbon aced the 145-yard No. 2 hole at Valley Golf Club using a 5-iron. Gresh, 80, was witnessed by Gene Potesta, Bill Handwork and Paul Peppel Sr.

Jim Stitle of Salem aced the 182-yard No. 13 hole at Salem Hills Country Club using a 5-iron. He was witnessed by Tim King, Ken Meshula, Bob Law and Frank Keeps.
