Austintown house fire causes $60K damage

AUSTINTOWN

A fire caused about $60,000 in damage to a house at 335 N. Yorkshire Blvd.

The cause is under investigation, but it doesn’t appear to be suspicious, Assistant Fire Chief Andrew Frost III said.

The fire started around 1 p.m. Saturday in a back bedroom, Frost said.

The people inside the house were able to get out, and no injuries were reported, Frost said.
