Local girl wins talent competition
Loberto
CLEVELAND
Amanda Loberto of Youngstown was named the winner of the 2010 McDonald’s Fry Girls Talent Search Competition June 12 at the House of Blues in Cleveland.
As a winner she received a $5,000 cash scholarship and the title.
Loberto learned about the competition through WAKZ 95.9. During the course of five weeks, hundreds of young women auditioned and only 30 advanced to the final round.
To compete, each girl was required to perform a unique cheer, rap, song or jingle that incorporated the McDonald’s brand in the composition. Loberto wrote and performed a cheer about her love for everything McDonald’s. Judging was based on attitude, enthusiasm, personality and originality.
Loberto will make her first official appearance as a Fry Girl July 26 during a Big Mac Monday celebration at the Cleveland Indians game at Progressive Field.
