Boardman Boosters award college scholarships

Charles Hillman and Doriyon Glass were the 2010 winners of two $1,000 scholarships from the Boardman Boosters.

These Boardman High School seniors earned a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA, were accepted into an institution of higher learning and had three letters of recommendation, one of which came from outside the school system.

Hillman was granted the Robert Schall Memorial Scholarship. He is the son of Charles and Lori Hillman of Boardman. He participated in track for two years and cross country for four years. He will attend Youngstown State University to study nursing.

Glass, daughter of David and Dorthy Collins of Boardman, was presented with the Scott Family Memorial Scholarship. She participated in track and basketball for three years. She will study pre-law at Gannon University.
