Taste of Hubbard has space available

Artisans, crafters and vendors are being sought for the third annual Taste of Hubbard Oct. 3 at Harding Park. The event is sponsored by the Harding Park Meeting House Building Committee, comprised of members of Hubbard Rotary and Hubbard CARES. Spaces can be reserved for $10. Vendors must provide their own table and a canopy if desired. No food items may be sold by vendors. Artisans and crafters will sell their wares from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The food tasting in Pavilion 3 will be from 1-4 p.m. For more information, call Linda at 330-534-5060.
Artists reception

Art Outreach Gallery at Eastwood Mall will host an artists reception from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. More than 100 pieces of art by students of Kathy Young, art instructor from Music Lessons for Us All in Poland, are on display through Aug. 1. The students are Salem Reese, Justin Reese, Valerie Renee Nichols, Ben Belgrad, Nikki Mehle, Halley Snow and Jessica Grizinski. Most of the artwork is for sale.
‘Avatar’ will return with extra footage

James Cameron is sending audiences on an extended tour of “Avatar” as his blockbuster returns to theaters next month with eight minutes of extra footage. Distributor 20th Century Fox announced Thursday that Cameron’s special edition of “Avatar” will debut exclusively in digital 3-D and IMAX 3-D theaters on Aug. 27. Cameron said he has heard repeatedly from fans asking to see more of the science-fiction sensation. The filmmaker says the added footage includes new creatures and action scenes.
