Discussion program on marijuana Monday
youngstown
First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St., will sponsor a program on marijuana Monday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the program at 7.
Among questions to be addressed will be: Why is marijuana illegal? Is it hazardous to our health or medicinal?
Panelists include state Rep. Robert Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th, co-sponsor of a bill that is pending before the Ohio House of Representatives that would legalize medical use of marijuana; Jamie See from the Ohio chapter of National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws; and Sgt. Scott Weimer, Canfield Police Department and former pharmacist. They will discuss the spectrum of issues related to the role of marijuana in our society. Light refreshments are available; donation is $3.
