Dave Sugar eliminates OTN in Little b playoff

Cody Pitzulo allowed just five hits in a complete-game effort to lead Dave Sugar Excavating over OTN, 12-2, in a Class Little b playoff game at Cene Park on Wednesday night.

Dave Sugar took control of the game with a seven-run first inning, after OTN scored one run to take the lead in the top of the inning.

Dave Sugar added solo runs in the second and third innings.

OTN scored again in the top of the fifth inning, but Dave Sugar rallied for three runs in the bottom of the frame to end the game.

Mike Buchenic led Dave Sugar with three hits and three RBIs, while Cody Pitzo, Mike Wittman and Matt Chicase all had two hits. One of Chicase’s hits was a double.

Morgan Hake had two hits, including a double, while Anthony Franco singled twice.

Kevin Arnold had a RBI for OTN.

The Class B and Class Little b playoffs continue this weekend at Cene Park.
