Boardman Center athlete earns Archie Griffin Award

Coaches from Boardman Center Middle School selected student athlete Kelly Tomcsanyi as the recipient of the prestigious Archie Griffin Award for her participation and passion in athletics.

She was recognized and presented with the honor at the Boardman Center Middle School Awards Assembly May 28.

This past school year, Tomcsanyi was a member of the cross country, volleyball, basketball and track teams. She was elected president of the school’s Student Leadership Council, a WEB leader and received high honors as a student. She will attend Boardman High School in the fall.

Tomcsanyi is the daughter of Michael and Sharon Tomcsanyi of Westport Circle in Boardman and the granddaughter of Mike and Jan Giba of Columbiana and John and Mary Tomcsanyi of Struthers.
