WARREN
Randy Law, a former state representative from Warren, and Werner Lange, a longtime political activist from Newton Falls, have been certified to run as independents for separate state representative seats in the November election.
The Trumbull County Board of Elections certified Law, who previously served as a Republican in the Ohio House of Representatives, to run as independent in the 64th District against incumbent Democrat Tom Letson, Warren, and Republican Albert Haberstroh, a Southington Republican.
The 64th District includes Warren, Warren Township, Cortland, Champion, Howland, Braceville, Bristol, Mecca, Southington, West Farmington, Farmington and sections of Bazetta and Fowler.
Lange will run as independent in the 65th District against Democrat Sean O’Brien of Brookfield and Republican Geno Capone, Hubbard. Sandra Stabile Harwood, the current representative, could not run due to Ohio’s term limits law.
In addition to Lange’s home of Newton Falls, the 65th District contains Hubbard, Hubbard Township, Girard, Hartford, Niles, Lordstown, McDonald, Liberty, Newton Township, Orangeville, Vienna, Weathersfield and sections of Fowler and Bazetta.
