Florida widow charged in NY hotel heir killing

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — The widow of a millionaire travel executive found beaten in a suburban New York hotel has been charged with a central role in his killing.

According to documents unsealed Thursday, Narcy Novack, her brother and two others have been indicted in the death of 53-year-old Ben Novack Jr. at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook.

According to the indictment, Narcy Novack opened the door to killers who beat and slashed her husband, and then gave them a pillow to hold over his face as he was being assaulted.

She was arrested Thursday morning in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Police had previously named Novack a person of interest in her husband’s death.

Ben Novack’s father was the founder of Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel.

Narcy Novack’s lawyer refused to comment Thursday.
