Firework used to damage screen door

YOUNGSTOWN

Police said someone used what appeared to be a large type of firework to blow the screen door off a house in the 500 block of Idora Avenue.

The resident of the house, a 60-year-old man, told police he was watching television in his living room around 12:50 a.m. Monday when he heard a loud explosion and debris flew across the room. He wasn’t injured.

Police said the explosive devise was placed in the door frame.

The victim told police he has been having trouble with his neighbors and suspected some of them might be responsible.
