Exhibition at fair
Trumbull County Beekeepers Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting interest and advancement of bee culture. Members exchange information on pollination, production of honey and control of diseases.
Meetings: At Trumbull County Agriculture Building, 520 W. Main St., Cortland. Check agenda on website for meeting dates.
Membership: About 46 families.
Activities: The association has a display from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today in the Western Reserve Historical Society Church at the Trumbull County Fair. The exhibit includes an observation hive with bees and equipment. The association sells honey, honey sticks and candy, candles and hive products. The association recently awarded a scholarship worth $300 to Rebecca Baxter, a teacher at Champion Middle School, that included a bee hive and equipment. Association members also will mentor students.
