50th anniversary of Mr., Mrs. Glass gathers family

The children of Tom and Ida Glass of Girard honored the couple at a 50th wedding anniversary party June 27 that included relatives from Michigan, California and Pennsylvania.

Mr. and Mrs. Glass were married June 25, 1960, in Winchester, Va. On their 10th anniversary, they remarried in St. Rose Church, where they are members.

The couple have six children: Thomas Timothy Glass, Donald Glass, and Michael (Vickie) Glass, all of Girard; Tracy (Todd) Governor of Mineral Ridge; Richard Glass of McDonald; and Sherry (Jay) Stratton of Bluffton,

Mr. Glass worked for Ohio Leatherworks and Mrs. Glass worked for Packard Electric before they began their own business, Tom’s Sewer and Drain, which they owned and operated for 35 years.

Now retired, Mr. and Mrs. Glass are members of the Independent Cruisers.
