Gas prices have risen slightly in the past week, putting northeast Ohio, which is averaging $2.76 per gallon of regular unleaded gas, just above the national average of $2.75. The Mahoning Valley’s average price comes in about 8 cents cheaper.

Local price comparison:

June 30, 2009: $2.56.

June 22, 2010: $2.71.

Average Area prices:

Akron/Canton: $2.58.

Cleveland: $2.76.

Niles: $2.68.

Warren: $2.69.

Youngstown: $2.69.
