June 12
Theft: Someone took $98 from a home in the 6700 block of Tippecanoe Road.
Burglary: A key was used to enter an apartment in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue, from which $160 was stolen.
Domestic violence: Lisa R. Woodley, 40, of 6063 Applecrest Court, was charged after her husband alleged that during an argument, Woodley had struck him with a metal candle holder. Police saw the accuser bleeding from several cuts to his left forearm, a report showed.
Vandalism: Someone threw stones and damaged two double-pane windows on a vacant piece of property in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Breaking and entering: Through a basement window to a vacant home in the 4700 block of Southern Boulevard. Taken was an estimated $15,000 worth of copper pipes.
Arrest: Police apprehended a 15-year-old boy, 6634 Ron Joy Place, Boardman, and charged him with criminal mischief and obstructing official business after saying he was one of six or seven people who fled after having tampered with several traffic signs near Glendale and Rockdale avenues.
June 13
Theft: Spare change was removed from two vehicles parked in the 1900 block of Sequoya Drive.
Criminal damaging: A 2-inch scratch was found on a car in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Trespassing: Thomas N. Trolio, 32, of 3321 Powers Way, Youngstown, faced a criminal-trespassing charge after an employee of a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant reported he was on the property, despite his having been issued a warning from police to stay away.
Assault: Authorities responded to a South Avenue business and found a man bleeding in the parking lot after he had been punched and possibly knocked unconscious.
June 14
Theft: Ronisha Harris, 21, of 42 S. Evanston Ave., Youngstown, was accused in the theft of seven cosmetics from Walmart.
Arrest: Christine M. Sennett, 33, of 204 Perry St., Struthers, was picked up in the 4200 block of Stratford Road on a warrant from Campbell charging her with telephone harassment.
Identity theft: A Leighton Avenue woman learned her credit card had been used to buy gifts in Jamaica.
Harassment: A worker with a Boardman-Poland Road eatery reported getting eight such calls.
Theft: Rodney D. Freed, 47, of 5095 Clayton Circle, New Castle, Pa., was accused of stealing a TV from Walmart, and was picked up on a warrant charging him.
June 19
Criminal mischief: Someone tossed eggs, striking the front door of a building in the 600 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Attempted breaking and entering: An apartment in the 4000 block of Hillman Way had a door damaged as someone tried to enter.
Criminal mischief: Two light bulbs were removed and broken at a business in the 1900 block of Mathews Road.
Forgery: A Canfield man found out his and his wife’s signatures had been forged on a three-party check that was cashed at a Boardman-Poland Road bank.
Criminal mischief: A part to a swimming-pool filter was tampered with in the 800 block of Mayfield Drive.
Theft/damage: A vehicle’s door lock was damaged in the 300 block of Melrose Avenue before a compact-disc player and a 40-piece socket set were taken from the car.
Assault: A man walking on Hillman Way told police two juveniles threw rocks and struck the accuser’s back, left elbow and right leg. He was not seriously hurt, however.
June 20
Burglary: To a second-floor apartment in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Circle. A $1,340 flat-screen TV and a laptop computer were missing.
Burglary: Occurred at an apartment in the 100 block of Lemans Drive through a side window. Stolen was $360.
Theft: Jared M. Moore, 18, of 4309 Devonshire Drive, Boardman, was charged and released on a summons after an employee-theft situation at Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall. Moore was accused of improperly voiding six transactions over a three-week period and pocketing $480.
Arrest: A traffic stop on Market Street led to the arrest of 42-year-old Carolyn Curran, 189 Lowell Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant from Columbiana County charging her with failure to appear in court.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near Market Street, officers took 30-year-old Natalie J. Williams, 1826 Larchmont Ave., Warren, into custody upon learning she was wanted on a warrant from Lordstown. The charge was contempt of court.
Theft: A woman’s stolen wallet was found after she had patronized a Boardman-Poland Road eatery, though $22 was missing.
Theft: Tiffany M. Rabquer, 20, of 139 N. Middletown St., Columbiana, was picked up on a warrant related to an April theft in which $234 of merchandise was stolen from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Harassment: The owner of a Market Street motel told police of receiving three months’ worth of such calls.
Aggravated menacing: A Prestwick Drive man reported another man came to the accuser’s residence looking for the homeowner’s daughter and pulled out a knife when asked to leave.
Theft: An Ohio driver’s license was missing from an apartment in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Theft: A gas card and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle in the 40 block of Beechwood Drive.
June 21
Burglary: Someone forced open a side window to a home in the 8100 block of Southern Boulevard and took a set of keys.
Harassment: A Lemans Drive woman reported getting a series of derogatory and unwanted calls.
Robbery: Police arrested Shamika N. Dubois, 25, at her residence, 1620 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant charging her after an employee at Hair Depot, 4026 Market St., reported having been punched while trying to detain a shoplifter.
Domestic violence: Matthew J. Campbell, 27, of 7410 West Blvd., Boardman, surrendered and was charged.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s turn-signal lever was broken in the 5700 block of Sheridan Road.
Theft: Officers stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of East Midlothian Boulevard, where they arrested 44-year-old Shawn D. Smith, 452 Idora Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant from Washingtonville charging him.
Recovered property: A Saddlebrook Drive man found in his backyard an arrow someone had apparently shot.
Aggravated menacing: An Island Drive woman cutting her grass reported a neighbor with whom she has ongoing problems threatened to do serious harm to her.
Attempted auto theft: A 1994 Chevrolet Blazer on Shadyside Drive had damage to its steering column after someone had evidently tried to steal the car.
Breaking and entering: Took place in the 6100 block of Glenwood Avenue after someone entered through a rear door.
Misuse of a credit card: A Hitchcock Road woman discovered her bank-card number had been used to make two unauthorized transactions at an Arlington, Texas, race track.
Theft: An $800 pulse-taking machine was removed from an ambulance in the 5800 block of Market Street.
Theft: A laptop computer, a power drill and coins were taken from a vehicle in the 70 block of Clifton Drive.
Theft: Two computer parts and a backpack were stolen from a car in the 60 block of Clifton Drive.
Menacing: A former patient reportedly threatened a doctor at an office on Market Street.
Theft/damage: A global positioning system unit and other items were stolen from two cars that were damaged on Shadyside Drive.
Fraud: A Boardman credit union made a Hanoverton man aware that two unauthorized debits totaling about $1,300 had been made to his account.
Counterfeit: Two fake $50 bills were passed at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A woman reported money, credit cards and a gift card missing from a Boardman-Canfield Road office.
Vandalism: A woman discovered numerous holes in walls, stains to a portion of flooring and damage to a door at a residence in the 7300 block of Eagle Trace Drive.
Theft: A prescription slip was taken from a car in the 7900 block of Market Street.
Criminal mischief: Yellow spray-painted graffiti was found on a garage in the 20 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Miscellaneous change was missing from a vehicle in the 60 block of Clifton Drive.
June 22
Theft: A DVD player and a converter box were removed from an apartment in the 4900 block of Glenwood Avenue.
June 25
Domestic violence: Police charged Blake M. Howell, 47, of 261 Meadowbrook Ave., with the crime after a family member alleged Howell had punched her in the stomach and threatened her with a rifle.
Theft: Patricia A. Sherman, 35, of 769 Third St., Warren, and 56-year-old Larry F. Drummond, 614 Austin Ave., Warren, were charged with theft and complicity to theft, respectively, after 50 articles of clothing were stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arson: Police and firefighters responded to a suspicious fire in a basement storage bin at a residence in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue. The township’s arson investigator said the fire appeared to have been deliberately set, a police report showed.
Theft: Someone took $5 from a vehicle parked in the 5900 block of Lightner Place.
Theft: A Mathews Road woman lost and found her purse, though $133 was missing.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 7400 block of Westview Drive and tried to steal a 1997 GMC Jimmy vehicle.
Assaults: Police charged 40-year-old Nicole R. Bethel, 615 Sanderson Ave., Campbell, with two counts of assault after responding to a fight in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road. A woman and her daughter claimed Bethel had struck them, causing minor injuries.
Theft: Two gutters were removed from a yard in the 7100 block of Ron Joy Place.
Theft: Someone took two tool chests from D&M Auto Repair Inc., 4200 Simon Road.
Theft: A man’s cell phone was stolen at a Market Street restaurant.
Burglary: To a home in the 100 block of Beechwood Drive by the front door. Twenty-five DVDs, an Xbox system, 15 Xbox games and two Wii-game controllers were taken.
June 26
Arrest: Columbiana police handed Brad A. Weber, 27, of 526 N. Main St., Columbiana, to township authorities. Weber was wanted on a warrant charging him with theft.
Arrest: A traffic stop in the 5900 block of South Avenue resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Michelle R. Mixon, 430 Norwood Ave., Youngstown, who was wanted by Weathersfield Township police on a charge of failing to appear in court.
Misuse of a credit card: A Windel Way woman found out her debit card had been used to make an unauthorized $499 withdrawal.
Theft/misuse of a credit card: A Sugarcane Drive man reported his stolen credit cards were used without consent to make two debits to his checking account totaling $1,016.50.
Arrest: Officers picked up 25-year-old Jason L. Womack, 151 W. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road. Womack was wanted by Liberty police on a larceny charge.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A South Avenue man said his girlfriend took and refused to return his 1996 Ford Explorer.
Criminal damaging: Someone threw a rock and broke a 2-by-4-foot double-pane window in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Drug paraphernalia: Officers responded to a person asleep in a car in the 900 block of Boardman-Poland Road, then charged 26-year-old Jason T. Marchese of North Canton with possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle impaired. A suspected marijuana pipe was found, a report said.
Auto theft: A 1999 Ford Taurus was stolen in the 200 block of Prestwick Drive.
Criminal damaging: Someone tossed a can, striking and causing scratches to a truck on Western Reserve Road.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 3900 block of Stratmore Avenue and took credit card and checkbooks from a vehicle.
Theft: A gold ring and a revolver were stolen from a residence in the 90 block of Ferncliff Avenue.
Theft: Baby powder and other related items were taken from Family Dollar, 4026 South Ave.
Theft: A rosary, $80 and a credit card were missing from a car in the 7300 block of Westview Drive.
Arrest: Police pulled over 22-year-old Norman D. Weimer Jr., 1235 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, near Brookwood Road and took him into custody upon learning Weimer was wanted by Austintown authorities on a charge of telephone harassment.
June 27
Criminal damaging: A Cook Avenue man accused his girlfriend of cutting and damaging his motorcycle’s leather seat.
Harassment: A Lost Tree Drive woman reported getting 25 unwanted cell-phone calls.
Assaults: A Steubenville man reported having been punched while in his vehicle in the 300 block of Oak Avenue. At the scene, police also found another man lying in the garage with injuries to his knee and chest.
Criminal damaging: A lamp post and various flowers were damaged at a home in the 7100 block of Trenholm Drive.
Theft: A man and a woman stole roughly $333 of merchandise from Walgreen’s Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Theft: A license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Tiffany Boulevard.
Domestic violence: Molly A. Bergman, 34, of 477 Garver Drive, was charged after her husband alleged that during an argument, Bergman slapped his face and scratched his chest. Several scratches were found, police said.
June 28
Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 6700 block of Appleridge Boulevard sustained damage to its hood, doors, fender and quarter panel.
Assault: An East Palestine man reported having been pushed during an altercation in the 7300 block of Bonnie Place. He had injuries to his neck and left arm.
Theft: A global positioning system unit was removed from a car parked in the 800 block of Trailwood Drive.
Theft: John R. Dickey, 18, of 110 N. Evanston St., Youngstown, faced charges of theft and possession of criminal tools after being accused of using a pair of scissors to open a package at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, and stealing two bottles of cologne
Forgery: Brent J. Whan, 28, of 9075 Briarwood Court, Canfield, surrendered to township police on two felony counts of forgery.
Arrest: Youngstown police handed to Boardman authorities 47-year-old Timothy E. Lewis, 638 W. Ravenwood Ave., Youngstown. Lewis was wanted on a charge of passing a bad check.
Forgery: A worker for Youngstown Pipe & Supply Co., 4100 Lake Park Road, discovered someone had forged and cashed a $2,920 check at a Columbus bank.
Criminal damaging: Someone cut a chain-link fence at a home in the 7300 block of Indian Trail.
Theft: A laptop computer, a debit card and money were removed from a vehicle parked in the 6700 block of Applewood Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A car’s passenger-side window was pried open in the 700 block of Kentwood Drive.
Theft: An undisclosed amount of money was missing from a deposit made from Pet Supplies Plus, 411 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Several items, including money and a wallet, were missing from a vehicle in the 800 block of Terraview Drive.
Truck theft: A 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen in the 6600 block of Bristlewood Drive.
Theft: A purse was taken from a vehicle in the 600 block of Oakridge Drive.
Thefts: Two Sierra Madre Trail women reported property stolen from their cars, including a $2,700 diamond ring.
Theft/damage: A gym bag was stolen from a vehicle that had damage to a driver’s-side door and window in the 600 block of Forest Ridge Drive.
Domestic violence: James A. Wolfe, 24, of 6032 Applecrest Court, Boardman, faced a felony charge and was taken to the Mahoning County jail after his girlfriend alleged Wolfe had pushed and tried to throw her out of the residence during an argument. He also choked the accuser, causing her to temporarily black out, a report said.
