The U.S. House Financial Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee will have a field hearing on the state of the Delphi Corp. pension plan in the Canfield High School Auditorium at 9 a.m. July 13.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Wilson, D-6th, and Tim Ryan, D-17th, announced the location and date of the hearing, titled “After the Financial Crisis: Ongoing Challenges Facing Delphi Retirees,” on Friday.

The hearing will focus on Delphi’s pension plan since the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2005.

Witnesses have been invited to share their perspective on the challenges Delphi retirees have faced, as well as how the financial crisis impacted the retirees and the auto industry. Witnesses will be announced at a later date.
