Austintown Lions Clubs elect new officers

The Austintown Lions Club celebrated its 33rd charter anniversary with The Austintown Lioness Club during its annual Installation of Officers banquet June 21 at Ala Carte Catering in Canfield.

Tim Clymer, sponsored by Lion John Facemeyer, was inducted as a new member.

Installed as the Lions new president was Larry Jensen, the Fitness Director of The Davis Family YMCA in Boardman. The new president for the Lioness club is Lori Stone, a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the Youngstown Air Base.

Other officers installed for the Lions were first vice president Harold Wilson, second vice president Jim Donnan, third vice president Bob Melcher, secretary Bill Sywy, treasurer Amy Stacy, Tail Twister Joe Valasek, one-year directors Jack Kochansky and John Facemeyer, two-year directors Glen Ringer and Jack Aey, Lion Tamer Don Hoelzel and membership chairman Bob Whited.

Lioness officers are vice president Lou Skerkavich, secretary Teresa McCallen and treasurer Jane Grace.

Kochansky received a special award in recognition of his performance as King Lion.
