Police are searching for a 25-year-old East Chalmers Avenue woman who was abducted from her home Thursday morning by a man later identified as the father of her child.

A witness told police that a man in his 20s driving a black four-door Lexus knocked on the front door at 11:20 a.m., saying he needed to speak with the victim, pulled out a handgun and struck the victim in the head with it. The victim ran from the house, but the man caught her and dragged her into his car and left the area.

Police checked “multiple locations,” but did not find her.
