Astro gets past Wharmby in Class B action

Ronnie Bovo had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs to lead Astro Falcons past Wharmby Sports, 8-3, in a Class B League game at Cene Park on Thursday. Ryan Gallagher (4-2) scattered five hits in a complete-game effort for Astro, which scored six runs in the fourth inning. Tyler Gentile had a triple and double, and two RBIs to lead Wharmby.

1080 media 8, Dave sugar 0

Dillion Haviland and Anthony Raschilla combined on a three-hit shutout for 1080 media. Haviland went the first six innings, allowing two hits. Mike Floravit had three hits for 1080, including a double, and Cavan Cohoes had a triple and two singles. John McCormick had two hits for Dave Sugar.

Livi Steel 8, Action P.T. 1

Josh Pryor earned his first win of the summer, allowing five hits over six innings with nine strikeouts. Alex Cuckovich had three hits, including a double, for Livi, while Andrew Burdick and Dante Delbene had RBIs. Todd Gaiser hit a RBI double for Action.

Rondinelli Tuxedo 8, Livi Steel 4

Ed Reese had a two-run double as part of Rondinelli’s four-run rally in the eighth inning. Jake Double and Zach Stein hit triples for Rondinelli, while Dan Ferguson also doubled. Brandon Easton pitched a complete game for this third win, scattering six hits. Tony Koch hit a triple and drove in a run for Livi.

Dave Sugar 7, Wharmby Sports 1

John Korpon (5-0) pitched a two-hitter and added a double for Dave Sugar. JohnMcCormick hit a triple and single for Dave Sugar, while Cody Herald added a RBI double. Tyler Gentile hit a sacrifice fly for Wharmby.

1080 MEDIA 6, OTN 1

Tyler Chapin (3-0) pitched four hitless inning and Will Frazier finished up a two hitter for 1080 Media. Dan Popio had three hits for 1080, including a double, and scored twice. Joey Aulizia also had two singles and a double, while Anthony Raschilla hit a RBI double as part of 1080’s three-run first inning. Dante Lewis and Geoff Sanner singled for OTN.
