A checklist of local, state and federal institutions and local businesses closed various days for the July 4th holiday. Residents of communities not listed should check their governmental office schedules.

City, county, state and federal offices: closed Monday. No mail delivery.

Universities: Youngstown State, Kent State Trumbull Campus, closed Monday.

Western Reserve Transit Authority: closed Monday.

Public libraries: Youngstown-Mahoning County, Warren-Trumbull, Kinsman Free Public Library, Hubbard Public Library, Girard Free Library, Bristol Public Library, Bristolville, McKinley Memorial Library, Niles, closed Monday; Newton Falls Public Library, closed Saturday and Monday.

Stock market: Stifel Nicolaus, closed Monday.

Banks: Chase Bank, Charter One, Cortland Banks, Farmers National Bank, First National Bank, First Place Bank, Warren, Home Federal Savings & Loan (Niles), Home Savings & Loan, Huntington Bank, Key Bank, PNC Ohio, PNC Pennsylvania, closed Monday. US Bank in Poland, Boardman, Canfield and Warren area: open regular hours.

Trash collection: Allison Brothers Inc., 9551 Gibson Road, North Jackson, servicing Austintown, Beaver, Berlin, Boardman, Canfield, Ellsworth, Goshen, Green and North Jackson; Allied Waste closed Monday, will resume Tuesday, one-day delay; Warren City Environmental Services, service delayed Monday only, pickup Tuesday; Waste Management, Waste-Tech Services, Boardman, Ohio Valley Waste, normal collection schedule.
