Guys Without Ties benefit show

Guys Without Ties will have a benefit evening for one of the band’s members who is recovering from a hemorrhagic stroke.

The event for guitarist Russ Parish will begin at 7 p.m. July 9 at the Ice House, 5516 W. Webb Road. Guys Without Ties, No Xcuse and the HouseBand will perform.

There also will be raffles and a Chinese auction during the event.

Parish is a founding member of Guys Without Ties, which formed in 1992. The seven-piece horn-drenched rock and soul band is one of the area’s most popular acts.

Parish was stricken April 2. He spent two months in Cleveland Clinic and is now recuperating at Hillside Hospital in Warren. Parish is an electrical engineer.
