Freight train strikes car in Pa.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A freight train struck a car that became stuck at an eastern Pennsylvania railroad crossing, but no injuries were reported.

Witnesses say the driver had gotten stuck around midnight today in Allentown and the car’s owner and others were trying to get it free when the train approached.

The Norfolk Southern freight train struck the front of the car, forcing authorities to tow it from the scene.

The train’s conductor says one of the train’s locomotives sustained slight damage. Police are investigating.
