Turning Technologies is expanding its educational strategy and programs under the leadership of its new vice president.
Tina Rooks, the company’s lead educational consultant, recently was appointed to the new position of vice president and chief instructional officer.
Rooks, who joined Turning Technologies in 2008, has helped tie the company’s interactive-response technologies to teaching methods that have been scientifically proved to increase achievement and learning outcomes.
“We have created an educational structure around research-based methods that could be supported by our technology,” Rooks said.
In her new role, Rooks, who thus far has focused primarily on the company’s customers in K-12 education, will broaden the educational initiatives to all of Turning Technologies’ markets.
Under Rooks’ leadership, the company will expand its educational-consulting team to support the increased adoption of programs in educational and professional development.
In addition, Rooks’ responsibilities will include working with policymakers to share Turning Technologies’ vision and building awareness of how response technologies can improve classroom achievement, she said.
She also will provide support for the company’s partnerships with other industry thinkers and organizations.
