Pretrial hearing set Feb. 24 in OVI case

NORTH LIMA — A local sportscaster is scheduled to return to court next month on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired.

Chad Krispinsky, 31, of Boardman, was arrested Jan. 21 by Beaver Township police.

Police said an officer spotted Krispinsky traveling on Market Street at between 58 mph and 60 mph. The posted speed limit is 45 mph.

Krispinsky was pulled over and tested 0.181 percent on a blood- alcohol test. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.

Court records show that Krispinsky, who joined the WKBN 27 First News Sports Team in 2005, pleaded innocent in a written plea filed Jan. 21 in Mahoning County Area Court in Canfield.

A pretrial hearing is set for Feb. 24.
