It wasn’t that long ago that the best hope for teen-agers engaged in the creative arts to share their work was their high school’s literary magazine. But that’s so local. With the Internet, students can think globally. Teen Ink (teenink.com) is a national magazine and Web site that provides a forum for teens to share their work with the world.

All of the content on the Teen Ink site are submissions from the publication’s members (membership is free). Categories include poetry, fiction, photography and painting.

Chosen submissions appear on the Web site where users can post comments and rate the work on a five-star scale. Each category features a list of the day’s top voted and most discussed work in addition to recent submissions and items picked to run in the print edition of the Teen Ink magazine.
