Glass Harp to reunite for two shows in March

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN — Glass Harp — with original members Phil Keaggy, Daniel Pecchio and John Sferra — will reunite for two performances, 8 p.m. March 27 and 3:30 p.m. March 28, at Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St. Tickets are available at the DeYor Centre box office; by calling (330) 744-0264; and online at youngstownsymphony.com.

Keaggy played Ford Family Recital Hall in 2007 as part of the Youngstown Symphony Society’s Hometown Heroes Series. During the concert, Keaggy invited his two band mates to join him on stage for a song. The three enjoyed the acoustics and intimacy of the hall, their time together on stage and their hometown crowd. Immediately afterward, they began to discuss a Glass Harp concert at the hall.

The power-rock trio was at its peak in the late ’60s and early ’70s, with a sound that stretched beyond standard rock norms. The band dissolved while on the cusp of mainstream success.
