WEDNESDAY

• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and Feb. 3 at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers are provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available at 11 a.m. Friday.

• Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road SE, invites the public to a fish fry from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children 10 and under.

• St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. To order call (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders are accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

• Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road SW, will be serving stuffed pork chop dinners from 4-6:30 p.m. Dinners include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, and coffee, tea or punch. • North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7-10 a.m. Patrons can enjoy an all-you-can eat breakfast for a donation. Items on the buffet will include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. • St. Nicholas School, 726 Fifth St., Struthers, will have a dinner of spaghetti, beverage and dessert from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Great Hall, 762 Fifth St., Struthers. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12, and free for those 4 and under. Takeouts will be available. Patrons are asked to provide containers. There will be a charge for a container supplied by the school.

• Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will sponsor an ethnic buffet dinner and dance beginning at 6 p.m. at the center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave. Meals will feature stuffed cabbage, kielbasi and kraut, baked chicken, pirogi, vegetable, salad, roll and butter. There will be a cash bar (no outside beverages permitted) from 6 p.m. to midnight, a champagne toast and celebration at midnight, and dancing from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. to the music of the Del Sinchak Band. • Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those under 6 may eat for free. Carryouts also will be available; containers can be purchased or patrons may provide their own.

• K. of C. 3930 Monsignor Mears Council will have a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Cost is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 9 and free to those 5 and under. The menu will include meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. There will also be a 50-50 drawing.

• Historic Lutheran Church of St. John, 1429 Mahoning Ave., adjacent to Fellows Riverside Gardens of Mill Creek Park, will have an all-you-can-eat pasta buffet from noon until the food runs out. • Springfield Township Fire Department will once again have its annual Valentine breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at Springfield High School cafeteria, 11335 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road. The menu consists of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, toast and ham, and beverages will be coffee, tea and orange drink. Donations are requested so the department can continue to purchase equipment needed to serve the community.

• Vincent Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., will serve roast turkey dinners beginning at noon Feb. 7. Dinners of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie will be for sale from 4 p.m. until they’re sold out. The dinners will be available the first Thursday of every month. The cost is $7 per dinner. No need to get out of the car; just drive through and pick up dinners. No reservations are needed.
