ALLIANCE — Justin Brown scored 25 points with nine rebounds and six steals and Trumaine Jenkins add 15 points with seven rebounds to lead five East players in double figures. The Panthers outscored Alliance 26-12 in the second quarter to take control. Jarelle Burt and Norman Johnson each added 13 points for the Panthers (8-3) and Tyrell Henry scored 12. For Alliance (7-6), Dom Cooper had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Jalen Mays 14 points and Darrell Jones added 13.
Hudson 53, Austintown Fitch 49
HUDSON — Ty Underwood made three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and Fitch nearly overcame a 15-point deficit before falling in a non-league game. Underwood, who finished with 15 points, helped the Falcons pull within two down the stretch before they were forced to foul. Fitch led by one point, 20-19, at halftime. Clay Lease scored 14 points to lead the Explorers.
Youngstown Christian 64, Mathews 55
VIENNA — Casey Carroll scored 17 points in the showdown between two 11-1 teams. Also for the Eagles (12-1), Anthony Walker and Louis Fatimus scored nine points each. For the Mustangs 11-2), Corey Lumley scored 12 baskets for 27 points and Chris Morgan netted 11.
Warren Harding 54, Erie Strong Vincent 57
ERIE — Fred Williams scored 15 points to lead a balanced scoring attack and the Raiders outscored Strong Vincent 15-7 in the third quarter to take control. Kennis White added 14 points and Angel Gonzalez had 13 for the Raiders (12-1), which led 45-41 entering the fourth. Ashton Pullium-Jones had 26 points to lead Erie (12-4).
Struthers 63, Lakeview 35
CORTLAND — Nate Jacubec scored 14 points, Jake Jacubec had 13 and Nick Jacubec had 10 for Struthers (12-2, 3-0), which stayed unbeaten in the White Tier of the All-American Conference. The Wildcats took a 17-4 lead after one quarter. Elliot Metheny scored 10 to lead Lakeview (2-11, 0-2).
LaBrae 87, Lordstown 37
LORDSTOWN — LaBrae made eight of its nine 3-point goals in the first nine minutes of the game and Matt Szorady and Mike Morris finished with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Jacob Jaros added 13 points for the winners, while Andrew Sekela tacked on 12 in the non-league game. Lordstown didn’t have the talent to match, although sophomore Zach Wells had 12 points while Steven Cribley added 10 for the Red Devils (6-7).
East Palestine 68, Lisbon 46
EAST PALESTINE — Six-five senior Ben Gysin had 17 points and 10 rebounds, but Austin Cope, also a senior, set the tone early by scoring 14 of his 17 points in the first half. Gysin, a three-year starter, didn’t score in the first period. William Bowyer’s 18 points led Lisbon.
Springfield 62, Crestview 42
NEW MIDDLETOWN — Jim Zubick and Tanner Avnet both had 14 points for the Tigers, who jumped out to a 30-12 halftime lead. Carter Hill scored 13 points, while Tom Oliver had 11 for Crestview. C.J. Collins had five rebounds and Hill had four steals.
Columbiana 84, Mineral Ridge 62
COLUMBIANA — Nick Good led the Clippers (7-7, 5-4 Inter Tri-County League) with 25 points, followed by Tyler Denmeade with 22 and Logan Goist with 20. Good also made 14 rebounds, 11 steals and three assists. For the Rams, Kyle Borton scored 24 points.
McDonald 79, Leetonia 30
McDONALD — Averaging 18 points a game, Matthias Tayala scored 15 in limited action in a blowout win. Nick Rota added 13 points, while Justin Rota and Devin Bansberg had 12 apiece for the unbeaten Blue Devils (13-0, 9-0 ITCL Tier Two). Nick Altomare’s 10 points paced Leetonia.
Sebring 42, Western Reserve 41
SEBRING — Dakota Wagner hit two foul shots with less than 30 seconds left to extend to lead to four for Sebring, then Reserve’s Jake Barker hit a 3 in the closing seconds to draw the Blue Devils within one. After the Trojans missed two free throws with two seconds left, Reserve was unable to get a shot off before the buzzer. Wagner finished with 13 points for Sebring (7-7-, 4-5 ITCL Tier Two), while Barker and Shane Ewing each scored 10 for Reserve. The Trojans outscored Reserve 11-3 in the third quarter to take a 32-28 lead entering the fourth.

RAVENNA— For the Pirates, Joe DeJacimo’s 19 points included five 3-pointers. Nick Phillips scored 19 points.

ASHTABULA — Christine Pelini scored 12 points and Mooney (7-8) outscored Lakeside 34-13 in the middle two quarters. Katrina Larson added nine points and Kelly Martino had eight. Lakeside is 7-8.
