Murry: "Sorrow is not the end of the story"

YOUNGSTOWN — The Most Rev. George Murry, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, told those attending the 8 a.m. mass today for Angeline Fimognari at St. Dominic Church that “sorrow is not the end of the story."

“God gives us life after death,” he said.

Fimognari was shot by an unknown assailant in the church parking lot after Saturday’s 8 a.m. mass.

The bishop said the community must transform sorrow into loving God and neighbors, and follow Fimognari’s example of prayer.

Church members said they are more determined than ever to keep St. Dominic a vibrant parish.

It appeared there were more than 150 people in attendance this morning. Her funeral mass will follow today at at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman.
