Campbell industrial park gets $232K from state

COLUMBUS — The state Controlling Board released $232,000 today for a road project in Campbell to accommodate growth at the Casey Industrial Park.

The funds will be used for a 2,200-foot extension of a road to provide better access to the park. A gravel road currently is used by four businesses at the site that employ about 100 people.

“The condition of the unpaved portion of the road is hampering operations and the ability for the businesses to expand,” according to documents.

The total road project is costing about $485,000, and the city is paying the balance.

The work is expected to lead to the creation of 11 jobs and the retention of another 146 others, according to documents.
