Boardman trustees pass first reading for renewal levy

BOARDMAN — Township trustees unanimously passed the first reading of a 2.5-mill general-fund renewal levy at their meeting tonight.

The levy generates between $1.6 million and $1.7 million annually.

“This involves no new money,” said Administrator Jason Loree. “It’s just what we need to operate where we are currently.”

Another reading is required to place the renewal on the May ballot.
